gonna try and fix that in 2012, and take it back to how it used to be when I first moved here and we had huge dance parties every week during that one summer when it didn’t suck

this is part of my general campaign to make State College more like a city I don’t actually mind living in all that much, I mean if I’m going to be here at least until I get tenure or not it might as well be enjoyable and interesting, and no one wants to hear me complain about how boring it is here anymore, least of all myself

I dunno if there are any bars that would let me kick out Beyoncé and Ghostface jams but also like, the Pet Shop Boys too?? and also the sad-sack twee music I like? but I think there’s a demographic of disenfranchised grad students and assorted twenty-something gadabouts that aren’t getting it from Indigo or w/e, who might be into what I want to do
