I reckon a bunch of people in Oklahoma are saying the same thing right now.

But yeah, basketball is so good right now, though. The Bulls will be 100% next season, OKC will be 100% next season, the Lakers are probably gonna suck, lots of fun to watch younger teams on the rise out West (Clippers, Golden State, Denver (wooooooo Denver!!!))… I might have to start getting back into it again.

I know you’re not supposed to read the comments, but reading the comments on ESPN’s NBA stories the night a series ends is like a glimpse into the fevered ravings of a madman. I saw multiple people saying things like “OKC is going to get Chris Paul next year and be unstoppable” or “Durant to the Heat, we’ll go 82-0,” like real life is suddenly 2K13 on the easiest difficulty or whatever. In small doses it’s pretty outstanding.

It’s hard to justify why I’d rather watch soccer than the NBA playoffs when I hear about Huddersfield and Barnsley literally not playing the last two minutes of their match, then both sets of fans storming the pitch at full time to celebrate a 1-1 draw that ensures they both stay in the Championship next season
